He Careth for You

We know the simple truth that God careth for us yet why do we become so amazed by the evidence of God’s care in our lives?

The current events of life brought me down, leaving me brokenhearted one Saturday night. The following day, I had the duty of serving in the nursery and began praying for a baby that I could hold. Sure enough, at the moment of entering the nursery, I was immediately wanted by a sad child who needed comforting. I was able to scoop the young child into my arms, bringing comfort to the child while simultaneously being comforted myself. It was not until after the 2nd book we read that I had realized God answered my petition to a tee: Not only did He give me a child to comfort for the entire duration of the service, but He also gave me the ability to sing hymns to that child that morning, fulfilling all of the desires of my heart and comforting me in ways of which I had forgotten!

God’s character displays His unfathomable care that is promised to every single one of His children forevermore.

He is our Refuge, Strength, & Protection:

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

"The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence." 2 Samuel 22:3

Imagine being in a tall castle on a hill, surrounded by a mote and safely inaccessible by the outer world. Under God’s protection, we can be found in Him, a "High Tower."

"My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me." Psalm 144:2

"Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast." Psalm 57:1

Our heavenly Father desires for us to be so near unto Him that His shadow hides us from the troubles of life; there is nothing too great nor too small for His care!

"Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice." Psalm 63:7

He is the Great Provider:

In the latter portion of Matthew 6 and the middle of Luke 12, God reminds us about the nature surrounding us daily. Even though the animals know winter is approaching and they are somewhat helpless, they do not worry about going hungry. Despite the lilies being found in the desert and known for their vibrant colors and rapid growth. Thriving in a hot, dry climate which might be the contrary to what we’d expect it desires. It is reassuring to know that God understands what we need to thrive amidst life’s undesirable climates.

He is our Nurturing Father:

God cares so much that He desires for His children to need Him just as a child needs his mother: always. "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." Romans 8:15

Abba is an endearing title given by a child to their father in need. Let God scoop you up into His loving and mighty arms accepting His everlasting love toward you.

God Will Take Care of You

Be not dismayed whate'er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.

Thru days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you;
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.

God will take care of you,
Thru ev'ry day, O'er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.

All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you;

Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.

God will take care of you,
Thru ev'ry day, O'er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.

No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you.
