I can’t believe we have been here for 4 months already! It has been a very blessed 4 months spiritually and physically. You have all been so kind and helpful to our family as we have made our adjustments to being back in the States. I think that most of the culture shock is wearing off, although a part of that never goes away. That may be hard to understand (I don’t always understand it) but I think that some of it has to do with the fact that somewhere in the future we will have to say good-bye again and the Lord helps us prepare for that by not letting us feel completely “at ease”. We are enjoying every moment here and have been able to fill up our spiritual “tanks” through the good preaching of Pastor Roland and the special meeting and missionary guests that we have been able to glean from.
As many of you know, my husband, after several years of prayer, has decided that the Lord has moved our ministry to Botswana, Africa. We are in the process of printing new prayer cards and putting a display together as we will start doing some traveling in the month of October. I have to admit that seeing our names on a prayer card that says Botswana instead of Chile has been a bit difficult but as the days go by and the Lord continues to work in our hearts about this needy country, He is helping us to let go and trust Him for the changes that He is making in our lives. We are excited about what the Lord is doing in our lives and look forward to seeing how He provides for some of the needs that we have in order to make this transition into a new culture. PLEASE continue to pray for us! THANK YOU for being so supportive as a church family. Your love and support have made a real difference in accepting the new path that God has put us on!
