You may wonder why a Christian has a heart of love;

And why, when giving time to others, they thank God above?

And why their busy lives don’t stop this passion of their heart?

It’s because the pulsing of their heart beats love for God.

And compassion is spurred on, in the light of that love.

 

Hear them say: “For the love of a brother, I will do this thing

And for the love of a sister, this gift we bring.

For this love of the King of Kings, bids us do anything;

And in His name we love and live and grow, and gifts we bring.”

 

So each time a Christian sees a brother who’s in need,

Though to help is inconvenient, and all the world agrees;

They must bow their heads and hearts, and in the presence of their Savior

Offer up this sacrifice to God, and give a little more.

For nothing can compare to what he’s given us – everlasting life forevermore.

 

Hear them say: “For the love of a brother, I will do this thing

For this love of the King of Kings, bids us do anything;

And in His name we love and live and grow, and gifts we bring.”
