We Never Knew

Psalm 34:15

“The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.”

Proverbs 5:21
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.”

Thunder crashes in my soul

Patience now has taken its toll

Tears have fallen like the rain

Then dry up desert-like again

~

Storm winds blow upon my life,

Sadness, sickness, times of strife.

All of these God sees me through,

But what of those I never knew?

~

Surely there are storms each day

That God forbids to cross my way.

They would have been part of the plan,

But as we prayed, ceased by His hand.

~

All the trials that could have been;

Protection that we can’t begin

To thank our Heavenly Father for;

His watch-care, so secure.

~

And as we travel blindly on our way,

We’ll take the blessings and burdens of each day.

For soon we’ll reach our home beyond the blue,

And thank Him for those storms we never knew.

Proverbs 21:31
“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.”
