Sue Gable – News From Your Next-Door Neighbor

Hi Ladies,

Even though it has been awhile since I’ve updated you all there isn’t a whole lot of news to report. God has continually been good to us up at Haven Baptist Church. We have been continuing to do our best to be faithful to our Lord and Savior as well.

We praise the Lord for a beautiful, healthy addition to the Lytle family and HBC. It’s great to have a newborn baby in our midst! Everyone just loves Beulah Odell -“Bo” as she is affectionately called.

Yesterday we had our quarterly church dinner-followed by a nursing home service. Lucy and Ella recited a “Christian Mother Goose rhyme and Ella quoted the entire section of Ephesians 6 on the “whole armor of God” -she was certainly a vivid object lesson all dressed in her foil armor to go along with her Dad’s message to the seniors.

We are looking forward to hosting the “Ohio bound” group of your teens this week. Our folks have gotten together and planned a complete dinner for them while my husband and I got away for a vacation in early March. We celebrated almost 35 years of marriage and being debt free for the first time in our lives. We so enjoy being free from payments in our lives- ask us about how God directed us in this endeavor, we would love to share what God has taught us.

My husband is currently teaching a second round of Bible Institute classes which he absolutely LOVES to do and I enjoy coming along with him for the ride.

We are also anticipating the birth of our fifth grandchild in May. It’s so great to be grandparents.

Our baby (Rachel) is finishing her last quarter of EBA. Wow! The chapter of educating our five children is just about to be over. So it’s on to other chapters in our lives.

Thanks so much for all your prayers for us. For those who have prayed for my Mom, Elaine she is doing somewhat better and just had cataract surgery today and all seemingly went well!!

Love,
Sue for all the Gables
