Happy New Year to everyone at LVBC and all others that read Grace & Honor!!!

We ended the year 2009 at Haven Baptist Church with challenges from 4 of our men. My husband requested all of our male members to share a verse or give a short devotional—and they all rose to the challenge (except for 3 of our men who were out of town visiting relatives). Joe Noecker, Tim Lytle, Dan Poncavage & Nathan Gable gave us much to think about for the New Year ahead.

Homeschooling has begun again today in the Gable household, college begins in two weeks. Both Judy and Nathan did very well with their first semester courses. We don’t take any of these successes lightly as we know most of it couldn’t have been accomplished without much prayer!! My sincere thanks goes to all of you who prayed for us this last year. You are all loved and appreciated.

I will be tagging along with my husband for the next 18 weeks of Bible Institute. He is teaching two trimesters—Life of Christ I & II. This trimester he is teaching the late class so he needs me to keep him awake on the long drive home.

Rachel is finishing up her last of four weeks of antibiotics for Lyme’s disease which was finally diagnosed after 6 months. Some of that was my fault for not taking her complaints of various pains seriously enough to take her back to the Doctor after the first round of blood tests came back negative. The worst of the illness seemed to me to have gotten better after one round of antibiotics, but please pray that these additional four weeks will erradicate the bacteria.

Well my time is getting away from me—AGAIN!!

Until next month,

Your sister and fellow laborer
